COURSE DESCRIPTION
Recommended for students registered for the CLAST. Also, for those who have failed the computational portion of the CLAST. Class meets 5 weeks prior to the scheduled CLAST for the term. Students are tested on the CLAST skills: arithmetic, algebra, geometry, probability, statistics, sets, and logic. For compensatory credit only. NOTE FOR USF STUDENTS: An HCC transcript is sent to USF for evaluation. You will receive a letter grade from HCC.

HOMEWORK

  1. Take the CLAST Practice Test in the textbook. Make note of the questions you answered incorrectly so you can master the corresponding objectives.
  2. Work all problems (Warm-ups and CLAST Practice) in your textbook.
  3. Read the material to be covered in the next class.

GRADING
There will be 5 multiple choice take home quizzes and a final exam. Your grade
will be the mean average of these 6 grades.
