TEXT- Topics in Contemporary Mathematics, 9th Ed. By Bello and Britton. Houghton Mifflin, 2008.
PR: Two years of high school algebra
Finite Mathematics is one of a pair of courses the Department offers for students whose only mathematics requirement is that they satisfy the Quantitative Methods portion of the General Education (Liberal Arts) Requirement and the Computation part of the Gordon Rule. The other is MGF 1107. While the topics presented in the two courses are similar, neither course depends on the other. They may be taken in either order or even together. Because of the nature of the students in the course, applications should be stressed.
